NYC Brewers Choice

Beer Sessions Radio™, the Good Beer Seal, and the NYC Brewers Guild are happy to present the 6th annual NYC Brewer’s Choice™ on Wednesday, February 24th, as part of the New York City Beer Week (2/19-28/16). This year’s “better beer event” will take place at 525 Waverly right next door to Greenpoint Beer Works (where KelSo Beer and Heartland Brewery brew their beers) in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn (same location as last year's event).

NYC Brewer’s Choice™ is a signature event of NYC Beer Week and celebrates the men and women of craft beer, offering the opportunity for beer lovers to mix and mingle with the brewers themselves in an upscale beer and food event. Tickets $60 - $80 available here

Valentine's Day Bossa Nova Brunch at Highline Ballroom

A Special JOBIM Birthday Celebration Brunch and 50 year anniversary of "The Girl from Ipanema"

Vocalist Julie Eigenberg - known to her fans as Julie E. - & Manhattan Transfer's pianist Yaron Gershovsky with World Guitar Master Andres Laprida team up to pay tribute to Brazilian jazz legend Tom Jobim, king of the bossa nova and Grammy-winning composer of favorites like "The Girl From Ipanema."

The Grammy-winning Gershovsky is not only the keyboardist for the world-renowned vocal group, but he's also their musical director and arranger, while Julie E. co-wrote one of the harmonizers' biggest hits, "Why Not!". Her own sound is a smooth mix of pop and Latin, but she also displays a soulful command of Brazilian Jazz.

Tickets $22/ $25 day of show, reserved VIP seating $30, full brunch menu available, $10 minimum per person, doors open 11AM.

Highline Ballroom, 431 W. 16th Street
